Fellaini departs Man Utd as £10.5m move to China is confirmed::

Marouane Fellaini has completed his move from Manchester United to Shandong Luneng.

The midfielder finalised his move to the Chinese Super League on Friday and leaves Old Trafford after five-and-a-half years with the club.

Fellaini flew to China on Thursday after United agreed a fee of £10.5 million for the 31-year-old. And also has penned a three year deal worth around £12.5 million a year after tax.

A statement issued by United on Friday read: Everybody at United thanks Marouane for his service and wishes him well for the future.

The Belgium international signed a new two-year contract with United in the summer, but has found opportunities limited following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer arrival as interim manager in December.

And having scored 22 goals in 177 games after his move from Everton in 2013 and helping United lift the FA Cup,League Cup and win the Europa League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has sought to move United away from the more defensive mindset of Mourinho and restore the attacking philosophies of old.

Fellaini played no part in those plans and slipped down the pecking order as a result.
