Lionel Messi reacts to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Champions League exit after Juventus lose:

Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus were sent slamming out on Tuesday night after Dutch monsters Ajax created a magnificent second half showcase to win 2-1 in Turin, experiencing 3-2 on total.

While the Portuguese got in the two legs of the tie, he was unfit to keep the Italian heroes from leaving early by and by and dragging out their Champions League desolation.

The Old Lady have now not won the challenge since they toppled Ajax in Rome in 1996.

Messi then again was taking care of business indeed as Barcelona conquered Manchester United 3-0 at the Nou Camp to have their spot in the semi-last.

The Argentina hotshot stowed twice in the primary half to settle the tie after they had effectively won the main leg in Manchester 1-0.

Messi and Ronaldo are still by a long shot the two best players on the planet and with five Ballon d'Or wins each, are both in the change to be considered the best ever.

Talking about Ronaldo's exit from the Champions League without precedent for a long time, Messi demanded that the groups at this phase of the challenge are "muddled" to play against.

When he was informed that Juventus had been thumped out, Messi answered: "That lets you know everything, any group is entangled, be it Liverpool or Porto, there are the individuals who merit, the best, and everything will be muddled.

Undoubtedly, Los Blancos have really won four out of the last five Champions League trophies, yet it was not intended to be for Ronaldo this year.

Messi and Barcelona however are still on for another Treble after apparently having effectively sewn up the La Liga title and with a Copa del Rey last against Valencia to play.

Next up in the Champions League they will assume the victors of Liverpool and Porto who play their second leg tomorrow.

Jurgen Klopp's group will take a two-objective lead to Portugal and will feel certain of setting up the blockbuster conflict with the Spanish bosses.

Gotten some information about Barcelona's odds of winning the Treble, Messi was in no state of mind to escape.

"We made a stride more, presently we need to consider La Liga and be champions at the earliest opportunity, at that point we will set up the diversions that pursue as they should," he included.

Another Champions League win for Messi would be his fifth with the Catalans, which would put him level with Cristiano Ronaldo.
